- Chemical composition: C (carbon) 0.47-0.53%, Si (Silicon) 0.15-0.35%, Mn (manganese) 0.60-0.90%, P (phosphorus) ≤ 0.030%, S (sulfur) ≤ 0.035%.
- Physical properties: Density 7.85g/cm³, melting point 1432℃.
- Use: cutting tools, molds, bearings, chains, guides, gears, tie rods and other parts with high strength, high hardness and high toughness requirements.
- Heat treatment performance: After proper heat treatment, S50C high carbon steel can obtain good strength and toughness, for example, after quenching and tempering treatment, can improve the hardness and wear resistance.
