316L Stainless Steel Sheet
316L stainless steel sheet has higher tensile strength and yield strength compared to other types of stainless steel sheets, making it an ideal choice for demanding applications. It is also resistant to high temperatures and can withstand a wide range of environmental conditions.
Stainless steel sheet is available in various thicknesses, finishes, and sizes to suit different applications. It can be cut, welded, and formed into various shapes to meet specific requirements. The most common finishes for stainless steel sheet include brushed, mirror, and satin finish.
316L stainless steel sheet is available in various thicknesses and sizes.
Thickness: It is available in thicknesses ranging from 0.4mm to 6.0mm.
Size: The standard sheet size is 1219mm x 2438mm (4' x 8') or 1500mm x 3000mm (5' x 10'). However, it is also available in custom sizes and cut-to-size lengths.
Other sizes may also be available depending on the manufacturer.
Quality Inspection
1. Material Inspection: The quality of the raw material used for manufacturing the sheet must be inspected. The material certificate should be checked to ensure that it meets the standards of the industry, and the chemical composition of the material needs to be verified.
2. Surface Inspection: The surface of the sheet must be smooth, without any scratches, or visible defects. The sheet's surface must be checked to ensure it is free from areas where the material’s thickness is inconsistent.
3. Dimensional Inspection: The sheet's dimensions should be checked to ensure it meets the requirements of the client. This includes checking the sheet's thickness, width, and length—measuring the degree of straightness and the flatness of the sheet.
4. Tolerance Inspection: The sheet's tolerance must be checked, and it should be in compliance with the industry's standards. This includes the thickness tolerance and width tolerance.
5. Mechanical Properties: The mechanical properties of the sheet, including tensile strength, yield strength, and elongation, are important for the quality of the final product. They should be tested according to the industry standards.
6. Surface Finish: The surface finish of the sheet must be inspected. This includes checking for any signs of rust, stains, or discoloration on the sheet's surface.
7. Certification Inspection: The certification of the product must be checked to ensure it meets the relevant standards.
8. Packaging Inspection: The final inspection should also include the inspection of the packaging to ensure that it meets the standards and requirements of the client.

Surface Finish
316L stainless steel sheet has various surface finish options that depend upon the manufacturing process and desired application. Some commonly used surface finishes of 316L stainless steel sheet include:
1. #1 Finish: This is a hot-rolled, annealed and pickled surface finish that has a rough, dull appearance.
2. #2B Finish: This is a bright cold-rolled surface finish that is annealed, pickled, and then passivated to improve corrosion resistance. The finish has a reflective appearance, similar to a cloudy mirror.
3. #4 Finish: This is a brushed surface finish that is typically used in decorative applications. It is achieved by continuously applying abrasive material to the surface until a uniform, brushed appearance is achieved.
4. 2D Finish: This is a dull, cold-rolled surface finish that has a non-reflective, smooth appearance.
5. 2B/BA Finish: This is a combination of two finishes; a 2B finish followed by a bright annealing (BA) finish. This creates a surface that is similar in appearance to a #2B finish but with enhanced corrosion resistance.
6. Satin Finish: This is a low sheen, smooth, and uniform finish that is achieved by using abrasive materials on the surface until a uniform, satin appearance is achieved.
7. Mirror Finish: This is a highly polished surface finish that has a reflective appearance similar to a mirror. It is achieved by using progressively finer abrasives on the surface until a highly polished finish is achieved.
