S45C Machinery Carbon Steel

S45C is a medium carbon steel commonly used in machinery, automotive and industrial applications. Its chemical composition contains 0.42% to 0.48% carbon, 0.6% to 0.9% manganese, 0.03% maximum phosphorus, 0.035% maximum sulfur, and 0.15% to 0.35% silicon. It has good strength, hardness, and wear resistance, and can be easily machined and welded. S45C is often used in shafts, gears, crankshafts, and axles. It can also be heat treated to increase its hardness and strength.

2. Chemical composition: Carbon (C) content between 0.42% and 0.48%, manganese (Mn) content between 0.6% and 0.9%, sulfur (S) content less than 0.035%, phosphorus (P) content less than 0.03%;

4. Surface treatment: can be sandblasting, painting, phosphating and other treatment;

5. Specifications: The common round steel diameter is 5mm~250mm, the square steel side length is 5mm~150mm, and the plate thickness is 5mm~100mm.
