1. Scope
The steel specified in this standard can be used for the production of hot rolled plates of steel grades S460, S500, S550, S620, S690, S890, S960 with a minimum nominal thickness of 3mm and a maximum nominal thickness of 150mm. The specified minimum yield strength of quenched and tempered steel is 460MPa1 to 960 MPa1).
2. Steel type and variety
The standard specifies seven types of steel, which differ in yield strength at ambient temperatures. Specify all grades to be supplied from the following varieties when requested.
-- The minimum value of the impact power specified when the temperature is not lower than -20℃ (no label).
- When the temperature is not lower than -50℃, the minimum value specified by the impact work is expressed by L.
-- (except S960) The minimum value specified by the impact work when the temperature is not lower than -60℃ is expressed by L1.
