A358 is a specification for electric-fusion-welded austenitic chromium-nickel stainless steel pipe suitable for corrosive or high-temperature service. 304L is the grade of stainless steel which has a lower carbon content than standard 304 stainless steel, making it more resistant to intergranular corrosion. Therefore, A358 304L would refer to electric-fusion-welded austenitic chromium-nickel stainless steel pipe that is made of 304L grade stainless steel and is suitable for corrosive or high-temperature service.
