Grade 316L Stainless Steel Tube

 

The low carbon version of  grade 316 stainless steel tube is called type 316L. Because molybdenum prevents border carbide precipitation (sensitization), the steel is well-liked for use in settings with severe corrosion. Weld annealing is only necessary when the material is intended for use in high-stress situations, which is the case with heavy gauge welded components. Because of its great resistance to corrosion, 316L has a wide range of applications, particularly in maritime settings.
