Most of the stainless steel pipes usually used for decoration are Austenitic 304 stainless steel, like 304 stainless steel pipes, generally speaking, are non-magnetic or weak magnetic, but they will be magnetic when smelted or processed. That is because the composition segregation or improper heat treatment during smelting will cause a small amount of martensite or ferritic structure in the austenitic 304 stainless steel pipe. In this way, the 304 stainless steel tube will have weak magnetic properties.

In addition, the structure of 304 stainless steel pipe after cold processing will also be transformed to martensitic stainless steel, the greater the deformation degree of cold processing, the more martensitic transformation, the greater the magnetic steel. Like with the same batch of steel strip, the production of large tubes such as 114 tubes, the magnetism is not obvious, but the production of small tubes like 19, 22 tubes, the magnetism will be larger, the deformation of the production of square rectangular tubes is larger than that of round tubes, especially the corner part, the deformation is more intense and the magnetism is more obvious.
