Stainless Steel 316/316L/316Ti Pipes & Tubes
Stainless steel pipes and tubes are widely used in various industries for their excellent properties like high corrosion resistance, strength, durability, and low maintenance. Among different grades of stainless steel, 316, 316L, and 316Ti are some of the most popular ones due to their superior properties.
Stainless Steel 316 is an austenitic grade that contains 16-18% chromium, 10-14% nickel, and 2-3% molybdenum, which enhance its corrosion resistance properties. It is suitable for high-temperature applications and is widely used in chemical processing industries, marine applications, and food processing equipment.
Stainless Steel 316L is a low-carbon version of 316 that contains 0.03% or less carbon. It provides excellent resistance to corrosion in high-chloride environments and has better weldability and formability than 316. It is commonly used in industries like pharmaceuticals, oil and gas, and pulp and paper.
Stainless Steel 316Ti is a titanium-stabilized version of 316 that has improved resistance to corrosion and sensitization during welding. It also provides better high-temperature strength than 316L. It is used in applications where high-temperature resistance is required, such as in exhaust systems, chemical processing industries, and power generation plants.
