ASTM A240 is a specification for chromium and chromium-nickel stainless steel plate, sheet, and strip for pressure vessels and for general applications. Ss 0.5mm Sheet 304 refers to a sheet made from grade 304 stainless steel that is 0.5mm thick. Grade 304 is an austenitic stainless steel with a minimum of 18% chromium and 8% nickel. It has excellent corrosion resistance and is commonly used in food processing, chemical processing, and pharmaceutical industries, as well as in kitchen appliances and architectural applications. A 0.5mm sheet is relatively thin and is often used for decorative or lightweight applications.
