The standard specification for SS 304 plate is ASTM A240/A240M. This specification covers chromium, chromium-nickel, and chromium-manganese-nickel stainless steel plate, sheet, and strip for pressure vessels and for general applications. The material shall conform to the mechanical properties and chemical requirements specified in the ASTM A240/A240M standard. The thickness range of the SS 304 plate usually varies from 0.4mm to 80mm.
