Product Introduction

Stainless steel 304 is a type of austenitic stainless steel, which is the most common type of stainless steel. It contains 18% chromium and 8% nickel, making it highly resistant to corrosion and oxidation. Stainless steel 304 also has good machinability, formability, and weldability, making it widely used in applications such as food and beverage processing equipment, medical devices, chemical processing, and architectural and decorative applications. It is also known as grade 304 or UNS S30400.

Chemical composition: Chemical composition includes: chromium (Cr) 18-20%, nickel (Ni) 8-10.5%, manganese (Mn) ≤2%, silicon (Si) ≤1%, phosphorus (P) ≤0.045%, sulfur (S) ≤0.03%, carbon (C) ≤0.08%.
Physical properties: with high strength and ductility, it can still maintain excellent mechanical properties at high temperatures. Its density is 7.93g/cm³, its melting point is 1400-1450℃, its thermal conductivity is 16.2W/(m·K), and its coefficient of linear expansion is 17.2×10-6/℃.
Surface treatment: Surface treatment through a variety of methods, including: drum, polishing, sandblasting, electrolytic polishing, etc. Different treatment methods can make its surface finish, corrosion resistance and aesthetics different.
Application: Widely used in construction, ships, pressure vessels, chemical equipment, medical equipment, food industry and other fields. Its excellent corrosion resistance, can resist water, acid, alkali and other corrosive media; Its material is strong and durable, and its service life is long.
