SK2 - Carbon Tool Steel
The meaning of SK2: S stands for Steel, K stands for tool (such as knives and saws), and the number is the serial number selected at the beginning.
SK2 carbon tool steel is a high-grade high-carbon tool steel and cold stamping die steel. The steel has high hardness, good wear resistance, low toughness, good cutting performance, and has more excess carbides after quenching.
The best isothermal annealing temperature of SK2 carbon tool steel is 690~720℃. The critical size of water quenching is 15~18mm, and the critical size of oil quenching is 5~7mm.
