Mn13 is a kind of high manganese wear-resistant steel, with other wear-resistant materials incomparable work hardening characteristics, under the action of greater impact load or greater contact stress, the surface of the steel plate to produce work hardening, surface hardness from HB200 rapidly increased to HB500 or more, resulting in a high wear-resistant surface layer, while the inner layer of the steel plate austenite still maintains good impact toughness.

Where is Mn13 mainly used?

Mn13 high manganese wear-resistant steel is widely used in metallurgy, mining, building materials, railway, electric power, coal and other machinery and equipment, mainly shot blasting machine, ball mill, mill, safe, bulletproof vehicle, power plant fan grinding blade and so on.

In recent decades, with the rapid development of modern industry and rapid progress of science and technology, high manganese steel has become the preferred wear-resistant material in advanced equipment such as maglev trains, safes, bulletproof vehicles, rock drilling robots, and new tanks. Many new materials and modern surface engineering techniques are still unable to compare with high manganese steel in terms of cost performance.
