NM500 Steel
M is the first pinyin letter for "wear" in "wear".
500 is the Brinell Hardness number HB value. (500 hardness value is a broad sense, the domestic NM500 hardness value is about 500.)

NM500 manufacturing process
The manufacturing process of NM500 wear-resistant steel plate mainly includes smelting, continuous casting, hot rolling, tempering treatment, quenching, tempering, finishing and other links. The specific manufacturing process is as follows:
Prepare the ingredients: Prepare the ingredients according to the required ingredients and proportions.
Smelting: Using vacuum induction furnace or electroslag remelting furnace to smelt, remove impurities and gases, and improve the purity of steel.
Continuous casting: The molten steel obtained is injected into the continuous casting machine to obtain the required size of the billet.
Hot rolling: The billet is heated to the austenitic state and hot rolled to obtain the required thickness of the steel plate.
Tempering treatment: The steel plate is heated above the critical point for tempering treatment, refining the organization, and improving the strength and toughness of the material.
Quenching: the tempered steel plate is quenched to obtain the wear-resistant steel plate with the required hardness.
Tempering: tempering the quenched steel plate to eliminate internal stress and improve the stability and toughness of the material.
Finishing: The steel plate is finished to remove surface defects and oxide layers to ensure the surface quality of the steel plate.
Cutting: Cutting steel plates into parts of the desired size as needed.
