This is a replacement of 40Cr steel more successful new steel, it has higher strength, hardness, wear resistance and good toughness, its hardenability is slightly higher than 40Cr, in the oil critical quenching diameter of 18 ~ 33mm; After normalizing, the machinability is good, and the process performance of cold drawing, rolling, tapping, forging and heat treatment is also good. The grain growth, oxidation, decarburization and quenching deformation tendency are small at high temperature. However, there is temper brittleness, tempering stability is slightly worse than 40Cr steel. This steel is generally used in the state of tempering, the use of temperature range of -20 ~ 425℃, mainly to replace 40Cr steel production of medium and small cross-section of tempering parts, such as automotive shaft, steering shaft, worm, spline shaft and machine tool spindle, gear and so on. In addition, it can also replace 40Cr steel to make parts with larger sections such as Φ250 ~ 320mm winch intermediate shaft. This steel can also be used in place of 40CrNi steel when making smaller parts. Used to manufacture worn parts, such as rotating shafts, mandrels, crankshafts, spline shafts, connecting rods, universal joint shafts, engaging rods, gears, clutch discs, bolts, nuts, etc.
