42CrMo4 belongs to the European standard high-strength alloy structural steel, the implementation standard: EN 10083-3-2006, this material has high strength and toughness, hardenability is also good, no obvious tempering brittleness, high fatigue limit and resistance to multiple shocks after tempering treatment, low temperature impact toughness is good. 42CrMo steel is suitable for the manufacture of large and medium-sized plastic molds requiring certain strength and toughness.

42CrMo4 Chemical Composition:

Carbon C: 0.38-0.45

Si: ≤0.4

Manganese Mn: 0.6-0.9

P: ≤? 0.025

Sulfur S: ≤0.035

Chromium Cr: 0.9-1.2

Molybdenum Mo: 0.15-0.3

42CrMo4 Heat treatment Specification:

Quenching 820℃-880℃, oil cooling or water cooling; Temper 540℃-680℃;

Top quenching test 850℃5℃
