42CrMo4 steel is a multi-purpose low alloy steel with good tensile resistance, good hardenability and no obvious tempering brittleness. After the tempering treatment, the fatigue limit is high, the impact resistance is multiple times, and the low temperature impact toughness is good. Its wear resistance can be significantly improved by flame hardening or nitriding (for maximum wear resistance and wear resistance). Rebar is available in the quenched and tempered state with tensile strength in excess of 800N/mm2(depending on the thickness of the section), but is also available in the softened state for further heat treatment.
