High carbon steel plate 42CrMo4

42CrMo4 material characteristics are high tensile strength, stress resistance, wear resistance, high hardness. Under tempering conditions, 42CrMo4 has excellent wear resistance and tear resistance. Compared with other steel grades, 42CrMo4 has a higher hardness. 42CrMo4 is used in aircraft industry, automotive industry, automotive industry, defense industry and other industries. 42CrMo4 can be normalized, tempered, quenched and other heat treatment. It is used in the manufacture of chains, screws, gears, arms, rollers and various other machine parts.

42CrMo4 chemical composition

The chemical composition of 42CrMo4 contains a moderate carbon content of 0.38-0.45%. The Mn content of the material is 0.6-0.9%, giving the material hardness. The content of P is reduced to 0.025%, and the content of S is reduced to a maximum of 0.035%, because excessive P and S will damage the quality of the steel and may cause the alloy steel to break under low stress. The high chromium content of 0.9-1.20% gives the material extra hardness.
