S45C is a medium carbon steel grade commonly used in machinery manufacturing. The material has good strength and hardness properties, and is machinable and weldable. It is often used for shafts, gears, and other parts that require high strength and toughness. S45C is a common material in JIS (Japanese Industrial Standard) and AISI (American Iron and Steel Institute) standards.

1. Chemical composition: Carbon content 0.42-0.48%, sulfur content ≤0.035%, phosphorus content ≤0.035%, manganese content 0.6-0.9%, silicon content 0.15-0.35%, iron content remaining.

2. Mechanical properties: tensile strength ≥686MPa, yield strength ≥490MPa, elongation ≥17%, hardness value around HRC55.

3. Processing performance: easy to cut, forging and heat treatment, good processing performance.

4. Surface treatment: Surface treatment can be carried out, such as galvanizing, painting, polishing, etc.
