S960QL/S960QL1/S960QL2 Difference
1. Level difference
The levels of S960QL, S960QL1 and S960QL2 are EN10025-6:2004 /EN10137-2: 1995, EN10025-6:2004+ A1:2009 and EN10025-6:2004+AC:2009, respectively. In terms of level, S960QL1 and S960QL2 are both revisions and supplements to S960QL.
2. Chemical composition difference
The chemical composition of the three kinds of steel mainly includes C, Si, Mn, P, S, Ni, Cr, Mo and other elements. In terms of chemical composition, S960QL1 and S960QL2 are not very different from S960QL, but S960QL1 and S960QL2 should have a higher boron content, which helps to improve the strength and toughness of the steel.
3. Mechanical property difference
The mechanical properties of the three steels are also different. The tensile strength (minimum) of S960QL, S960QL1 and S960QL2 are 960MPa, 960MPa and 960MPa, respectively. The yield strength (minimum value) of S960QL1 and S960QL2 is 960MPa and 980MPa respectively, which is greater than the 900MPa of S960QL. In addition, the heat treatment temperature of S960QL1 and S960QL2 is lower than that of S960QL, but the strength of the steel is higher than that of S960QL.
