Welding performance of S960Q steel plate

The steel specified in EN 10025-6 for different welding processes and the welding behavior of the steel during and after the process depends not only on the material but also on the size, shape and conditions of use of the manufacturing and components, so that the weldability is not unlimited.

The general requirements for steel arc welding specified in the standard are given in EN 1011-2.

Note: With increased product thickness and strength grades, cold cracking may occur, which is caused by a combination of the following factors:

A, the amount of diffused hydrogen in welding metal

B. Brittle structure of heat affected zone

C. A large amount of tensile stress is concentrated at the welding point
