The pipe making process is different.

3. Thickness.
Stainless steel welded pipe raw steel strips are calendered, the thickness is relatively uniform, welded pipe finished specifications, the thickness is thin tube and thick tube. However, the thickness of stainless steel seamless pipes is often uneven, and they are relatively thick pipes.
4. Welding performance.
Under normal circumstances, there are certain differences in the chemical composition of general 304 stitched stainless steel pipes and seamless stainless steel pipes. The composition of steel for the production of seamless stainless steel pipes only meets the basic requirements of astm. For the production of welded stainless steel pipes, the steel contains chemical components suitable for welding, such as silicon, sulfur, manganese, oxygen and ferrite and other elements in a certain proportion of the mixture can produce a welding flux that is easy to transfer heat during the welding process, so that the entire weld is welded through. And seamless stainless steel pipe, due to the lack of the above elements, in the welding process will produce a variety of unstable factors, not easy to weld and welding opaque.
4. Corrosion resistance.
Under normal circumstances, the corrosion resistance of two kinds of stainless steel pipes and seamless pipes of the same material is basically the same.
5. Price.
The price of seamless steel pipe is higher than that of welded stainless steel pipe.
6. Comprehensive quality
In general, the quality of 304 sewn stainless steel pipes is better than seamless stainless steel pipes. This is because the welded stainless steel pipe is made of an accurate cold-rolled sheet that has been inspected, so the defects are basically at the weld. The 304 seamless stainless steel pipe is made of stainless steel billet stamped by punch, resulting in many tears in the pipe wall formed by extrusion. The eddy current test shows that the defective rate of welded stainless steel pipes is usually lower than that of seamless stainless steel pipes.
6. Surfaces.
Seamless pipe surface requirements are not strict, there will be less obvious spots. Stainless steel decorative pipe surface treatment requirements are more stringent.
7. Use.
Seamless pipes are mainly industrial pipes. Decorative pipes are widely used, mainly in the field of decorative welding, but as the decorative stainless steel pipe process is getting better and better, there are also thick wall decorative pipes that will replace some seamless steel pipes.
