● Features and application examples:

Strength, hardness, elasticity and hardenability are slightly higher, annealing state machinability is good, cold deformation plasticity and weldability is poor. It is sensitive to overheating and prone to temper brittleness. Suitable for large size coil springs. Plate springs. Various round flat springs. Spring ring, cold drawn wire and spring.

Carbon C: 0.57-0.65

Silicon Si: 0.17-0.37

Manganese Mn: 0.70-1.00

Chromium Cr: ≤0.25

Nickel Ni: ≤0.30

Copper Cu: ≤0.25

● Mechanical properties:

Tensile strength σb (MPa) : ≥695

Yield strength σs (MPa) : ≥410

Elongation δ5/ (%) : ≥11

Section shrinkage ratio ψ/ (%) : ≥35

Steel delivery state hardness HBS 10/3000: unheat treated steel ≤269 Annealed steel ≤229

Recommended heat treatment /℃ normalizing 810
