Chinese 316L stainless steel pipe
All austenitic stainless steels, including 304,316, are sensitive to chloride ions and are prone to corrosion. Of course, because 316L contains 2%Mo, the corrosion resistance is better than 304, and it is also commonly used in seaside facilities, but it cannot be used in high-concentration seawater equipment. Compared with 316, the carbon content of 316L is below 0.04%, and the carbon content of 316 is 0.08%. Carbon is easy to combine with chromium in stainless steel welding, resulting in local chromium deficiency, sensitization, contact with corrosive media, such as chloride ions, and rust occurs.
