The difference between 316L and 316 stainless steel pipe:
316L is an ultra-low carbon stainless steel (austenitic stainless steel with less than 0.03% carbon content and very low intergranular corrosion sensitivity).
316 stainless steel is low-carbon stainless steel, not ultra-low carbon stainless steel.
Different yield strength: 316 210(N/MM2); 316L 180(N/MM2).
Different tensile strength: 316 520(N/MM2); 316L 480(N/MM2).
