Stainless Steel Round Tube 316 316L
Type 316316L stainless steel is a commonly used Austenitic stainless steel with nickel chromium and low carbon content. This alloy has similar physical properties and manufacturing properties to type 304. The addition of molybdenum (relative to 304) increased the corrosion resistance in brine applications. The Biocompatibility of this alloy has been well studied. This grade of stainless steel is an economical choice and is usually readily available. The low carbon content of grade 316L increases the resistance to intergranular corrosion after welding or stress relief.
