2205 Stainless Plate
2205 stainless steel plate is composed of 22% chromium,2.5% molybdenum and 4.5% nickel nitrogen alloy composite stainless steel. It has high strength, good impact toughness and good overall and local resistance to stress corrosion.
The yield strength of 2205 stainless steel plate is more than twice that of ordinary austenitic stainless steel, which enables the designer to reduce the weight of the design product, and 2205 stainless steel plate has a price advantage over 316,317L. This alloy is particularly suitable for the -50°F/+600°F temperature range. Applications beyond this temperature range can also consider this alloy, but there are some limitations, especially when applied to welded structures

2205 stainless steel cold plate size generally 1000*2000mm, 1219*2438mm, 1500*3000mm commonly used plate, thickness 0.3-6mm;
Structure
After the chemical composition of 2205 is annealed at 1900°/1922°F (1040°/1080°C), the ideal microstructure of 50α / 50γ can be obtained. If the temperature of the heat treatment is higher than 2000°F, it may lead to an increase in the ferrite composition. Like other duplex stainless steels,2205 is susceptible to intermetallic phase precipitation. The intermetallic phase precipitates between 1300°F and 1800°F, with the fastest precipitation rate at 1600°F. Therefore, we need to test 2205 to ensure that there is no intermetallic phase, and refer to ASTM A923 for the test.
2205 duplex stainless steel chemical composition: C≤0.03, Si≤1.00, Mn≤2.00, P≤0.04, S≤0.03, Cr: 21.0~24.0, Ni: 4.5~6.5, Mo: 2.5~3.5, N0.08~0.2.
