Product Introduction

Steel 304 is a type of austenitic stainless steel, which is the most widely used type of stainless steel. It contains a minimum of 18% chromium and 8% nickel, with trace amounts of other elements such as manganese, phosphorus, and sulfur.

Steel 304 has excellent corrosion resistance, good mechanical properties, and high-temperature strength. It can be easily fabricated and welded and is used in a wide variety of applications, including food processing equipment, chemical processing, and medical equipment.

Steel 304 is also known as Type 304 stainless steel, UNS S30400, and AISI 304. It is designated as a low-carbon stainless steel with a maximum of 0.08% carbon content.

Chemical Composition: contains about 18% chromium and 8% nickel, as well as small amounts of carbon, manganese, phosphorus, sulfur, and silicon.
Mechanical Properties: tensile strength of 515 MPa, a yield strength of 205 MPa, and a hardness of 201 Brinell.
Physical Properties: density of 8.03 g/cm³, a melting point of 1425-1510℃, and a specific heat capacity of 500 J/kg·K.
Applications: commonly used in a wide range of applications, including food processing equipment, kitchen appliances, piping, tanks, architectural and structural applications, and more.
