High Quality Bearing Steel SAE1055
One of the main advantages of SAE1055 bearing steel is its high carbon content, which provides exceptional hardness and strength. However, this also makes it more brittle than lower carbon steels and more difficult to machine.
To improve machinability, microstructure refinement, and dimensional stability, SAE1055 bearing steel is often subjected to heat treatments such as annealing, normalizing, and quenching and tempering. These processes can result in improved mechanical properties, such as increased hardness, toughness, and wear resistance.
Product Specifications:
- Material: high quality bearing steel SAE1055
- Chemical composition: C: 0.50-0.60, Mn: 0.60-0.90, Si: 0.15-0.35, P: ≤0.035, S: ≤0.035
- Mechanical properties: tensile strength ≥740MPa, yield strength ≥510MPa, elongation ≥10%, hardness ≤207HB
- Heat treatment: quenching (about 820℃) and tempering (about 600℃)
- Application field: Commonly used in the production of bearings and other parts requiring high strength and high wear resistance
