● Characteristics and scope of application:

No. 60 steel is hypoeutectoid steel, with high strength, hardness and elasticity, low plasticity when cold deformation, poor machinability, poor welding and hardenability, water quenching has a tendency to crack, and large parts are mostly normalized. No. 60 steel is used to manufacture shafts, spring rings, wheel shafts, various gaskets, cams, steel ropes and other parts with large forces and working under friction conditions, requiring high strength, wear resistance and certain elasticity.

It is the only medium hardness steel electrode with good bonding, suitable for air cooled steel, cast steel: such as ICD5, 7CrSiMnMoV and so on. Auto sheet metal covering die and large metal sheet metal stamping die drawing and stretching parts repair, can also be used for hard surface production.

In addition, there are some points to note when using:

1. Before construction in a wet site, the electrode should be dried at 150-200°C for 30-50 minutes.

2. Usually apply more than 200°C preheating, air cooling after welding, and it is best to implement stress relief if possible.

3. Need multi-layer surfacing welding, with CMC-E30N as the base, can get a better welding effect.

● Heat treatment specifications and metallographic structure:

Delivery condition: Delivery in a condition of no heat treatment or heat treatment (annealing, normalizing or high temperature tempering). Where delivery in heat treatment condition is required, it shall be indicated in the contract, and if not indicated, delivery shall be made without heat treatment.
