There are eight different classes under ASTM A514: A514Gr.A, A514Gr.B, A514Gr.E, A514Gr.F, A514Gr.H, A514Gr.P, A514Gr.Q, A514Gr.S. The chemical composition and properties of different grades of steel plates are different.
The maximum thickness limit for these eight grades of steel plates is:
A514Gr.A large plate thickness does not exceed 32mm; A514Gr.B large plate thickness does not exceed 32mm;
A514Gr.E large plate thickness does not exceed 150mm; A514Gr.F large plate thickness does not exceed 65mm;
A514Gr.H large plate thickness does not exceed 50mm; A514Gr.P large plate thickness does not exceed 150mm;
A514Gr.Q large plate thickness does not exceed 150mm; A514Gr.S large plate thickness does not exceed 65mm.
