How much hardness can 316l stainless steel pipe reach through quenching? Should I dip it in water or oil?
316L after 1050~1150℃ heating and holding water quenching solid solution treatment, some manufacturers have tested many times solid solution temperature test, in 1040, 1080, 1120, 1150 and other temperature tests, hardness is always between HRB76-80. If the hardness is required to be <75HRB, it is more tight, try using cold working methods.
