Product Introduction

The 316 series duplex stainless steel sheet is a type of stainless steel alloy that contains two phases, austenitic and ferritic, in roughly equal proportions. This results in a high strength and corrosion-resistant material that is ideal for use in harsh environments.

This particular grade, 316, contains 2-3% molybdenum, which enhances its corrosion resistance properties and makes it suitable for use in marine and chemical processing industries. It also contains 16-18% chromium, which provides excellent resistance to oxidation, and 10-14% nickel, which improves its strength and toughness.

The 316 series duplex stainless steel is commonly used in applications where a combination of high strength and corrosion resistance is required, such as in chemical processing equipment, oil and gas pipelines, marine and offshore structures, and heat exchangers. It is also used in food processing and medical equipment due to its non-reactive nature and ease of cleaning.
