high-quality steel plates Nm360
Processing properties:
Whether you can use this steel plate to process a trustworthy product fundamentally depends on the entire processing process and the technology used in the processing.
During processing, it should be ensured that the calculation, design and processing methods meet the requirements of the material itself, meet the requirements of the newer processing technology, and meet the requirements of the actual use of the product in the future. The customer should choose the appropriate material, taking into account the high strength and hardenability, while referring to the recommendations of EN 1011.
Cold forming
Despite its high hardness, the NM360 can still be cold-formed. However, it should be noted that with the increase of yield strength, the deformation force and resilience required for steel plates of the same thickness should also be increased. It is recommended to sand the flame cutting edge or cut edge of the cold bending area to prevent cracking.
Consider the following recommended values when cold forming (t for plate thickness)
Minimum bending radius Minimum die opening size
Transverse 3t 10t
Longitudinal 4t 12t
Thermoforming:
The hardness is obtained by accelerated cooling from the austenitizing temperature. After thermoforming, only re-quenching can restore the hardness. It can be expected that the hardness obtained by re-quenching will be different from the hardness measured at the factory, because the quenching equipment used in the production of steel plates and the quenching equipment owned by the processing plant have differences in capacity. The hardness of the steel plate will not decrease significantly when heated to about 200 ℃.
Flame cutting and welding:
Flame cutting should follow the following minimum preheating temperature: plate thickness 30 ~ 50mm30 ~ 75℃, plate thickness of more than 50mm 100 ℃. Manual arc welding should choose alkaline coated electrode with low residual moisture, if necessary, should be dried according to the requirements of the electrode manufacturer, in addition, the following recommendations should also be considered:
Generally speaking, steel plates below 20mm thickness do not need to be preheated for welding. In order to prevent weld cracking when the structural rigidity is high, it is generally recommended to take a preheating temperature of 105~150 ℃ for thick steel plates above 20 mm. Preheating above 200 ° C must be avoided, as it will reduce the hardness (see figure below).
Weld filler should be as soft as possible within the range of load bearing structure and wear bearing of weld.
machining
The NM360 can be machined using high speed steel bits, especially cobalt alloy high speed steel bits. If proper penetration rate and penetration rate are used, the bit can have a satisfactory service life.
