The wear resistance of Mn13 rolled steel plate is very good in the environment of strong impact and high pressure. After pre-processing Mn13 rolled steel plate in the environment of no impact or small pressure, the wear resistance is much higher than imported low-alloy wear-resistant steel, of course, than domestic wear-resistant steel NM420 is also much stronger. And the cutting and welding performance is also very good. It is widely used in the shot blasting machine industry, and the price is much lower than a few years ago.

This kind of steel contains 10% to 15% manganese, and the carbon content is high, generally 0.90% to 1.50%, most of which are above 1.0%.

The amount of this kind of high manganese steel is the most, commonly used to make excavator teeth, cone crusher rolling wall and crushing wall, jaw crusher switch plate, ball mill liner plate, railway switch, plate hammer, hammer and so on.

The as-cast structure of the above components of high manganese steel is usually composed of austenite, carbide and pearlite, and sometimes contains a small amount of phosphorus eutectic. When there are many carbides, they often appear as a network on the grain boundary. Therefore, the high manganese steel with cast structure is very brittle and can not be used, and it needs to be treated with solid solution. The heat treatment method usually used is solid solution treatment, that is, the steel is heated to 1050 ~ 1100℃, the heat preservation eliminates the as-cast structure, and the single-phase austenitic structure is obtained, and then the water quenching is used to maintain this structure to normal temperature. The strength, plasticity and toughness of the steel after heat treatment are greatly improved, so this heat treatment method is also often called water toughening treatment. Mechanical properties after heat treatment are: σb615 ~ 1275MPa σ0.2340 ~ 470MPa ζ15% ~ 85% ψ15% ~ 45% aKl96 ~ 294J/cm2 HBl80 ~ 225 high manganese steel after solution treatment will still have a small amount of carbide undissolved, when the amount is small in line with the inspection standard, it can still be used. When the high manganese steel with austenitic structure is subjected to impact load, plastic deformation occurs on the metal surface. As a result of deformation strengthening, there are obvious work hardening phenomena in the deformed layer, and the surface hardness is greatly increased. When the impact load is low, it can reach HB300 ~ 400, and when the impact load is high, it can reach HB500 ~ 800. With the impact load, the depth of the surface hardening layer can reach 10 ~ 20mm. The high hardness hardened layer resists impact abrasive wear.
