S45c 1045

S45C and 1045 are both carbon steel grades commonly used in various industries.

S45C is a Japanese standard designation for carbon steel with a tensile strength of 490 MPa. It is equivalent to AISI 1045 and DIN C45 steel.

1045 is an American standard designation for medium carbon steel with a tensile strength of 570-700 MPa. It is commonly used in machinery parts, shafts, gears, and axles.

Both S45C and 1045 have similar properties like high strength, impact resistance, and good machinability. However, 1045 has slightly better hardness and wear resistance due to its higher carbon content.

The product specifications for S45C and 1045 are listed below:

1. Chemical composition: Carbon content is 0.42-0.48%, sulfur content is not more than 0.035%, phosphorus content is not more than 0.035%, manganese content is 0.6-0.9%.

2. Cold tensile hardness: cold tensile hardness is 80-90, which has strong wear resistance and fatigue resistance.

3. Durability: They have excellent durability in high temperature and high pressure environments.

4. Stamping machinability: with good stamping processing performance, suitable for the production of auto parts and machinery and equipment.

5. Weldability: It has good weldability and can be used to produce high-strength connectors.
