SAE1055 special steel sheet is a high-carbon, high-strength steel alloy that contains 0.55% carbon and other alloying elements such as manganese, silicon, and phosphorus. This steel grade offers excellent toughness, wear resistance, and strength and is widely used in applications that require high-strength components, such as automotive parts, machine tool components, gears, and springs. SAE1055 special steel sheet is typically produced through hot-rolling, cold-rolling, or annealing processes and can be further hardened through heat treatment. Its high-carbon composition makes it difficult to weld, and special attention must be paid to the welding process to avoid cracking.
