NM500 and NM400 are two types of high strength wear resistant steel plates. They are both designed to resist abrasion and wear caused by various types of materials, such as minerals, rocks, coal, cement, and sand.
NM500 steel plate has a hardness of 500 HBW and can withstand high stress and wear. It is commonly used in mining, construction, and agricultural machinery, as well as equipment for handling and processing of bulk materials.
NM400 steel plate has a hardness of 400 HBW and has a relatively good impact toughness. It is suitable for applications that require moderate levels of abrasion resistance, such as material handling equipment, bulldozers, and excavators.
Both NM500 and NM400 are made from high-strength alloy steels, with a low carbon content, which gives them excellent toughness and durability. They are both heat treated to achieve their maximum hardness and wear resistance properties. Additionally, they can be processed and fabricated to accommodate different types of shapes and sizes.
